BUYING PROCEDURES

1. Livestock is sold by the head. The auctioneer and ring stewards will take bids on the animal that is in the ring when bidding begins. When the animal you would like to purchase is in the ring, at the price you desire, signal the auctioneer by raising your hand. If you receive the final bid, hold up your buyers card so that the name can be announced and recorded.
2. The auctioneer will determine the highest bidder and has authority to determine who has the winning bid.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. DO NOT BID IF YOU CANNOT PAY.

Option #1: When the auctioneer declares your bid won, you will indicate if you would like to donate the animal back to the re-sale and identify the donation recipient. For example: Say you would like to donate the animal back to XYZ Non Profit.

Option #2: Indicate if you would like to keep the animal and have it processed. Transportation of the purchased animal to 307 Meat Company is available through the MPJLS. Cutting instructions for the 307 Meat Company are available at check out. Processing fees are the buyer's responsibility. If you desire a different processor then it is the responsibility of the buyer to make those arrangements and transportation.

 3. Following the announcement of your winning bid, proceed to the photo area to meet your youth producer and have your photo taken with your animal and the exhibitor.

4. You will be brought your Bill of Sale for that animal by the MPF&R Royalty.

5. Before checking out, review the information on your Bill of Sale for accuracy:
     a. Confirm your buyer's number and the name.

     b. If there are multiple buyers for one animal, all the contact information for all buyers will need to be provided.

6. Once your informatoin is verified, and your photo has been taken, you can either continue participation at the Sale, or you can proceed to the check out window.

All poultry will be processed at SISU Farms in Granby. Animals will be processed according to the standard cut sheet for their species. Should you have any specific/special cutting instructions, please contact 307 Meat Company or SISU Farms to request these. Processing is at the expense of the buyer.
