County Shoot

County Shoot –July 28th, 2024 at 10 am and 12 pm

The County Shoot is an opportunity for 4-H shooting sports members to compete against each other within the disciplines of Archery, .22 Rifle, .22 Pistol or Shotgun.  Archery will compete at the Flying Heels Arena beginning at 10:00 am and the remaining disciplines at The Crooked Creek Trap Club beginning at 12:00 pm.  Both locations are located southeast of Granby along Hwy 40 with signage visible from the road.  Top scoring members at county shoot may then have the opportunity to compete at State, provided a county leader of that discipline is available to accompany the team.

Spectators are welcome to attend the county shoots, enjoy the potluck lunch provided by 4-H members and The Crooked Creek Trap Club (lunch located at Crooked Creek), and stay for the awards ceremony.  Spectators are asked to bring chairs, hearing protection, and a monetary donation towards lunch.

The Western Heritage discipline, which is a new shooting sports discipline offered in Grand County this year, will hold their own competition outside the county shoot date - TBD.
