The Exhibit Hall Grand Award, an award to the best overall exhibit
as voted by the Exhibit Hall workers.

The Grand Award is donated by Studio Madison Frame Shop & Gallery, located in Granby.

Open Class Exhibits
Rules and Regulations
All exhibits must be from Grand and Summit counties
and must have been completed in the last year.

Registration of Exhibit Hall, entries is on Tuesday, during fair week, 8 am to 8 pm

1. There will be a fifty cent entry fee for each article entered in Open class:
This does not include school exhibitors.
2. Each exhibitor is responsible for registration.
3. All entry tags will be filled out by each exhibitor. All entries must be tagged by an
Exhibit Hall worker.
4. All exhibits must be clean and neatly displayed in the Exhibit Hall or be disqualified
before judging.
5. All registered articles will be judged at the judge’s discretion as to the award placing.
6. If there are three similar items that are not listed in the fair book, a class will be made
and they will be Judged.
7 Any qualified exhibitor may enter as many articles as desired, but no single article may be entered in more than one category, division, or class.
8. Maximum of one entry per person per class.
9. All canned goods must be in standard jars, sealed properly and labeled with name of product, date, method of canning, processing time (minutes) and altitude. Rings must be loose. All jars are subject to opening and food tasting. Processing time should be according to the “USDA Complete Guide to Home Canning” with adjustments made for the altitude where you live.
10. All artwork, including children’s, MUST be framed or mounted and ready to hang. (String
and tape will not be accepted for hanging artwork.)
11. All photography must be matted or framed and ready to hang. (String and tape will not be accepted for hanging artwork.)
12. All ribbons and exhibits must remain until 3 pm Sunday. Exhibits and prize monies must be picked up Sunday between 3 pm and 5 pm Any monies not picked up at this time will be forfeited, except where prior arrangements are made with Exhibit Hall workers.
13. Overall Grand Champion and Overall Reserve Grand Champion will be awarded in all categories to each age/ability level.

Cash Prizes to Overall Champion in the following categories, at the judges’ discretion: Foods, Preserved Foods, Sewing, Agriculture/Gardening, Crocheting/Knitting, Needle/Fancywork, Jewelry/Leatherwork, Ceramics/Pottery, Hobbies, Legos, Crafts, Photography, Art.

A blue, red and white ribbon will be awarded in each class. Cash prizes for first, second, and third are two dollars, one dollar and seventy-five cents respectively.

4-H Department (deadline August 1st - Judging)
1. All entries shall consist of exhibit requirements as set forth in the 4-H Member’s Manual including record book.
2. Premium in this department will be paid for all units within each class, i.e., Clothing - Unit 3, Foods - Unit 4. Projects must be exhibited to collect premiums.
3. Classes are available for all 4-H Home Economic and General Projects enrolled in 2008. Exhibits and prize monies must be picked up on the Sunday of Fair Week.
4. All 4-H entries must be entered and judged on August 1, 2008

Exhibits Open Classes
Mommy/Daddy and Me Open Class
Junior Open Class - 8-12 years old.
Intermediate Open Class - 13-17 years old
Senior Citizens - Only if requested.
Professional Classes - exhibitors having sold over $300 worth of work, professionally by trade in the last year.

Directions for filling out Exhibit Card
Please do not separate the exhibit card. Please use one exhibit card per exhibit.

Attach the card to the exhibit by either using a rubber band, safety pin, or tape for photos and art. Print all information.

Please fill in the blanks completely. For age divisions and classes see above information.

The remainder of the card will be completed by the fair officials and the judges.

Exhibit Hall Contains 4-H and Open Classes
Open classes include the following: 4-H has additional classes for Shooting Sports, Vet Science, Electric, Wild Life Science and Rocketry.

There will be a new exhibit card for entries. If you want to prepare your Exhibit Card Prior to registration, please pick up new cards at CSU Extension Office in Kremmling after August 1

Middle Park Fair and Rodeo - Established in 1912
